Have you heard the news? People for Research won one of the Market Research Society’s Operations Awards (a.k.a. Oppies) last week, in London! The MRS distinguished PFR with the award in the category for Best Support Services for providing “a tailored service that really makes a difference to their clients.”

Established in 2014, “the Operations Awards, or Oppies as they are affectionately known, are the only awards that recognise the vast amount of operations talent in the research sector.”

PFR applied to the awards based on a 2018 project with research and design consultancy cxpartners and the not-for-profit organisation FRANK, a service that aims to give young people the skills and confidence to reject drugs by providing honest information and unbiased advice.

FRANK and cxpartners were looking to explore regional differences in how young people aged 16 to 25 years old feel about drugs and their personal experiences. People for Research managed all the participant recruitment for this project, targeting and finding young people who had had experiences with drugs in the past, and including participants with accessibility requirements to comply with the Government Digital Services’ guidelines. You can read more about this project here.

“I’m extremely proud for the team at PFR to be recognised in this way, for their brilliant work on this particular project,” said Paul Gooding, People for Research’s CEO. He added: “this just goes to show how good partnerships can result in amazing outcomes.”

Other nominees in the Best Support Services category included Language Connect, Omnisis, Research Runner, Roots Research, and Bristol-based RP Translate, highly commended by the judges for their translation and language services in the market research industry.
